Dean Atta is a London-based poet with roots in Cyprus and Jamaica. Winner of the Spirit of London Award for ‘Achievement through the Arts’ and the BEFFTA Award for ‘Best Spoken Word Artist/Poet’. Commissioned to write poems for Penguin, Walker Books, Keats House Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern. Featured on TV, radio and online platforms, such as Channel 4, BBC Radio 4, SB.TV and written about in the Guardian, Huffington Post, The Metro and The Voice newspaper. He has performed everywhere from the Jazz Cafe and Camden Roundhouse, to Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Houses of Parliament.
